1. About this statement
We want adults seeking companionship and community support, and those supporting them, to be able to find and understand DiRich’s information.
This statement explains our accessibility aims, contact options and known assessment limits.
2. Making our information easier to access
The website uses clear headings, keyboard-operable navigation and expandable sections.
WCAG 2.2 Level AA is a useful reference for assessing accessibility. Full conformance has not been established.
Perceivable: Information should be presented in ways people can perceive and understand.
Operable: Navigation and controls should work with different ways of using the web.
Understandable: Content and navigation should be clear, consistent and predictable.
Robust: Content should work reliably across browsers, devices and assistive technologies.
3. How we aim to make the website easier to use
We aim to provide clear, straightforward information without making people depend on complicated interactions to read important content.
Clear navigation: We aim to organise pages and links so people can find important information without unnecessary steps.
Clear structure: We use headings and consistent page structures to make content easier to scan and understand.
Different devices: We aim for the website to remain usable on computers, tablets and mobile phones.
Keyboard access: We aim for important navigation and controls to be usable without requiring a mouse.
Assistive technology: We aim to support common assistive technologies where the website and third-party tools allow this.
Zoom and resize: We aim for important content to remain readable when users zoom their browser or increase text size.
Plain English: We aim to explain our services in clear British English and avoid unnecessary jargon.
Images: We aim to provide meaningful alternative text for important images where appropriate.
Colour and focus: We aim to use readable colour contrast and make links, buttons and keyboard focus clear.
4. Accessing information in other ways
If you cannot access information, contact info@dirichsupport.com or 01283 351888.
You may ask about an alternative way to receive information.
Possible adjustments to discuss include clearer wording, additional time or an alternative format. Availability must be confirmed individually.
5. Reporting an accessibility barrier
You do not need technical knowledge to report an accessibility problem. Tell us as much as you comfortably can.
Tell us which page or piece of information you were trying to access.
What went wrong: Describe the difficulty you experienced in your own words.
Device or software: If relevant, tell us what device, browser or assistive technology you were using.
Tell us your preferred way to receive a response without supplying unnecessary sensitive information.
Communication preferences and reasonable adjustments can be discussed directly with DiRich.

If you are dissatisfied with how an accessibility concern is handled, see the Complaints Procedure. No guaranteed response time is promised.
7. Ongoing review and limitations
No claim is made that every page meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA or works with every assistive technology.
The website includes keyboard controls, focus indicators, labelled illustrative images and carousel pause and reduced-motion support. These features do not constitute a full accessibility audit.
What we continue to review: When we add or update pages, forms, images or documents, we aim to consider accessibility as part of that work.
DiRich Community Support welcomes enquiries about companionship and non-regulated community support for adults aged 18 and over. All support arrangements are subject to an individual assessment, agreed support plan, appropriate documentation and confirmation by DiRich. Please contact us to discuss your needs and availability. There is no online booking or payment; availability is not guaranteed.
Reasonable adjustments depend on individual needs and the relevant circumstances. This statement does not certify full accessibility or legal compliance.
